Rest Day Draft
Every Disney World vacation needs a rest day, but that doesn't mean it has to be the forgettable one! Aly, Stacy, and Becki draft the best ways to spend a no-park-ticket day: resort pools, resort activities, resort dining, Disney Springs restaurants and activities, lounges, and a wild card. Plus, Stacy shares some big moving news, we all commiserate about that travel agent hold music, and the lightning round asks the big questions: stay in the bubble or leave? Pool or spa? Laundry or ignore it?
Who drafted the best rest day? Come vote in our Facebook community! And stay until the very end for bloopers (Aly may or may not have frozen...).

[00:00:50] Coming up, it's a rest day draft. And we are big believers that every Disney vacation needs a day where you are going to just relax, take the time out of the parks, take the time to replenish your energy because you need so much of it at Disney. And then you got to figure out how you're going to fill that time. And there are so many options from dining to exploring to experiencing. You can fill your day with so much Disney magic and it doesn't require a park ticket.
[00:01:16] Hey there, everyone. Welcome in to another episode of the Moms Behind the Magic Podcast. I am your host, Allie. I'm here today with Stacey and with Becki Smedley and we're drafting. The three of us are drafting, which means that we came in riddled with anxiety, but excited to teach you all about another Disney topic through drafting style. So it's going to be really, really fun. It's going to be fun that it's the three of us. I cannot wait, but I'm also like going to throw up because I'm so nervous.
[00:01:47] And oh my goodness. Before we dig in, how are you guys doing? I'm so good. I am drowning in work, my like nine to five job work, which is actually more like 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. work right now. But I also am just so happy. And I have a song stuck in my head that is the song that's in the Disney travel agent wait line that is the duck. What's the duck that's the professor? What's his name? Okay, I don't know, but what is that song? Red, yellow, green?
[00:02:17] Oh, yes, he's that one. Ludwig. Ludwig? Yes. Yes, Professor Von Ludwig. Ludwig, yes. Yes. Ludwig, right? Red, green, blue, red. That is it stuck in my head. I'm talking about the colors. Yes, the colors. Awful. Awful. What is that? That's how long we've been on wait. That's how long I know how long I've been on wait. It's how many times have I heard that? How many times have I heard eye to eye? It's just playing on repeat in my head.
[00:02:47] Yes, yes. It's a... Well, I know, Allie, I think you turn off the hold music, don't you? So, okay, as travel agents, we sit on hold a lot. Lately, the wait times have been horrific. Ridiculous. This is why you use a travel agent, because it's bad for you, the traveler, also. But we do it for you when you book with us. So lately, it's been over an hour every time I've called. And Stacey, I'm so angry because you brought it back to my attention. Sometimes it lets you turn.
[00:03:14] Sometimes press 8-2, music goes away. It's amazing. I love that. You sit in silence, you wait, you do whatever you're doing, and it's not annoying. Other times, you can leave a message for a callback. That is equally great, if not better. It is great. I do like that. Other times, it's straight through to the queue. You get no options, and it's red, red, blue, blue, blue, blue, blue, blue. For an hour. Yeah. Horrible. Well, actually, I need the music because if I turn off the music, I forget I'm on hold.
[00:03:43] And then they come to the phone, and I'm like, oh, oh, oh, wait, wait. I wasn't ready. Then you become blood-wanty. I need the whole old music. Yes. Yeah, I need the music to just remind me constantly, you're on hold. Don't forget. You're on hold. Be ready. Don't forget. But I do love the callback, for sure. Yeah. Yeah, we have had a lot of work being done on our house, and I guess I'm willing to say this now. In fact, Becky, you have mentioned this one other time before on one of our episodes, and
[00:04:11] I don't know if you remembered that you brought it up and that I cut it out as the editor. I cut it out because I was not ready to have it on a podcast yet that we've been thinking about moving. And you had just made a little reference to it, and I was like, oh, I'm not ready for that out in the public yet. But I guess I am now because it's really happening. We're about to have a realtor come put a yard sign for sale in our yard. And so it's exciting, but scary, and my brain will not stop. I just am so tired from thinking.
[00:04:38] I'm tired from our house has been in disarray. You know, you have to get all the things moved for painting. You have to get all the things moved for carpeting. You have people in and out of our house for two weeks, and it's just, I'm tired. Yeah, it is so exciting. And right now, every M&M is like, oh, my gosh, is Stacey not going to live in Alabama anymore? Is she going to give up Roll Tide? No, I can't. I can't imagine living in Alabama. So it's just time. You know, empty nesting does a lot to you.
[00:05:07] So yeah, just some changes. Yeah, well, then that's the exciting thing, right? Like we moved three years ago, and we didn't even know we were moving. It was just this house came for sale, and we were like, we want to move. So I remember it so clearly, even though it was, I mean, three years ago, I guess it wasn't that long. But it is stressful, and you've been doing this and that, and we've been watching. You know, we'll be in meetings or we'll be chatting, and we'll see people working behind you. And it's been really fun to follow. But just make sure in whatever house you go to, you have a good place to record. This is true. Trust me.
[00:05:35] I mean, that's legitimately on the list. I was like, when I'm looking at houses, I'm like, where am I going to be recording? So 100%, don't worry about that. It's on the list. I tease Stacey that this is going to be a love it or list it situation because you're doing so many amazing things with your house. Like, are you going to be afraid to leave it? When we left Utah, people were so confused by it, honestly. They were like, why are you leaving? Like, is it a job taking you somewhere? And I'm like, no, we're just leaving because we want to leave. And they're like, yeah, but what are you going to do when you get there? Where are you going to live?
[00:06:04] I'm like, we'll figure it out. You can work wherever you want. We just wanted palm trees and Disney and a different life. So yeah, that's awesome. The few people that have learned that we're selling, there have been more than one asked, are you going to Florida? Like, are you like assuming I might be moving closer to Disney World? So it's not, we're not doing that. There's also a college town nearby that some of my family lives in already. That is our opposing football team town. And I've had people ask me, are we moving there?
[00:06:33] And I'm like, no. You're going to end up there. You watch, you're going to end up there. Yeah, I know. I know. It's a very sweet town and it's very cool. And like I said, my family who remains huge Bama fans are already living there. It'd be like a form of torture. It'd be like me trying to live in Baltimore. It would be the worst. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Did you just say Baltimore? Baltimore? She did kind of say Baltimore. Baltimore. I think I did say it kind of weird. Baltimore.
[00:07:03] Taya is no longer the center of the normal U.S. language. I don't typically say it. I think I did say Baltimore, but it's Baltimore. But either way, it's gross. No offense, Eminem's. If you live there, I love you most of the time, but not when... I know. That's why I didn't say the college town name.
[00:07:23] I think people who know I live in Alabama and I'm a Bama fan know which town I'm talking in our kitchen entirely before we bought this house because we weren't planning on moving. So we took out like two walls, made it a complete open floor. Zan designed the kitchen from nothing.
[00:07:51] I mean, every single inch of this thing was awesome and beautiful. The sink was soapstone and we had this waterfall counter and we had a pot filler finally and the stove and the frit. I mean, it was all just. And then we sold it a year. We sold it a year later. It was crazy. It was crazy to have done that amount of work and then move. But ultimately, it was just the universe looking out for us, right? Because we did all that work. And because of that, we sold the price. We sold the house for a price that made us be able to move.
[00:08:20] So otherwise, I don't think we would have been able to. So it was all worth it in the end. But all that work leading up is really tough. Very true. We built our dream home in Utah. We built our dream home. And then two and a half years later, decided to go from our 3,200 square foot beautiful home that we built to a 1,300 tiny house in South Florida and pay more for what we're living in Florida. But we were so, I don't know. Life is more than just the house you live in. It's the people you're with.
[00:08:50] It's so much more than that. Yeah, that's all right. I agree. That's awesome. I agree. So brave. It really is. All right. Well, the time has come. We are going to take a quick break. And then we are going to spin the wheel. Should we spin the wheel before we take a break? You want to know where you're going to be drafting? Are you going to wait? I think it's suspense. Let's wait. Should we come back? Yeah. And then we're going to be drafting. And I'm really excited about this topic. I'm going to talk a little bit about it. But before we do, I want to talk, of course, about baby quip.
[00:09:19] You know that when you travel with kids, the hardest part is, of course, not the flight. It's being away from all the things that make your little ones feel like they're at home. Every time we travel, there's always that first night where someone can't settle because they're not in their usual crib or their bed. And we realize halfway through that first day that we really wish we would have brought the stroller or a few of the toys that they're used to. Just things that throw them off. They throw the whole rhythm off. And now nobody is having a good time. Well, that's where baby quip comes in.
[00:09:46] They are the number one baby gear rental service across the U.S., Canada and beyond. They really make it easy to have the things that your family actually needs waiting for you when you arrive. Five cribs, strollers, car seats, toys, beach gear, even pet gear if you're traveling with your furry family members. It's all delivered right to your hotel, Airbnb and vacation rental.
[00:10:05] What I love the most is that you are also renting from local quality providers, often moms, dads, grandparents, people just like you, the M&M and me talking now who really understand what traveling families need. Everything follows strict cleaning and safety standards and is insured so you can focus on making memories instead of stressing about forgotten gear and wacky rhythms. They're available in over 2,000 cities.
[00:10:28] So whether you're heading to Disney, the beach or visiting family, head to babyquip.com and use code MAGIC10, which will save you $10 off of every $50. That's code MAGIC10 to save $10 off of every $50 at babyquip.com. Pack light, travel happy. Okay. You know when you're really going to need things from BabyQuip is when you are having a rest day at your resort. You are at your resort and you are having a rest day and you're spending time in your room or at your destination.
[00:10:58] You're going to need those things that make you feel comfortable. And that is what we are talking about today. It's the rest day draft. Now, I feel like I want to say the whole point of doing these drafts, if you've never listened to a draft before, even if you have, the whole point, of course, is to learn about the topic. Right? It's to learn. Did Stacey say to win? She's muted. But yes, the whole point is to win. The whole point is to win. I hate it when I'm my funniest and I was on mute. I was on mute for BabyQuip.
[00:11:25] This is why you can't turn the music off because you forget on what you do. Yes, that's exactly it. I am hilarious when I'm on mute. Sorry. Y'all missed a guess. So the whole point is that you learn things you didn't know. Right? So we're going to be covering ground. Some topics we've drafted before. It's really interesting as drafts cross categories. But we look at every draft from the lens of the topic we're talking about. Right? So on a dining draft, I may be looking at dining in Disney Springs differently than I am on a rest day draft.
[00:11:54] And the whole point of this rest day draft is to teach you M&Ms about how to maximize your rest day. What are the things you can do? Where can you go? And how do you build it? I, of course, think building your rest day primarily around where you're staying is, you know, I think that impacts a lot of things I would pick. And so it's interesting to try to make picks without actually having a resort in mind that I'm staying at. But hopefully you learn some things. You learn how to maximize your rest and your downtime at Disney World.
[00:12:21] And you learn that there are a million things you can do that are not park related. We're going to spin the wheel. We're going to see who goes first. It's going to be fair. And it's going to be on a wheel. I feel like I have to ask y'all, do you want to do the wheel? Do you want me to do the wheel? How do you want this to work? I trust you to do the wheel as long as I get first pick. No, I trust you. Going to get our draft order. And then it's going to be snake style, right? So it'll be one, two, three, three, two, one, one, two, three, and so on.
[00:12:48] So at the turn there in the draft, that person will get two picks to start the next round. One pick for the end, one pick for the beginning. Okay. Our draft topics for your rest day draft are a resort pool, resort activity, a resort restaurant, a Disney Springs restaurant, a Disney Springs activity, a lounge, and of course, wild card. Now, what about a buffet? Do we have a buffet on this one? A character buffet. No buffets today, Stacey.
[00:13:18] No buffets. Unless you want to draft a buffet in your category. In wild card or restaurant. That's true. Don't get confused. Or restaurant. I mean, I can do this. Is this a Polynesian deep dive? Yeah. I don't think so. So once something is drafted, it cannot be taken again, no matter what category it was drafted in. And you can go in any order you'd like. Are we ready to find out the order in which it will be drafted? Go. Do it. All right. Do it. Do it. It's fitting.
[00:13:46] Our first drafter in the yellow block on the wheel of names is Becky. Yes! Oh! First time? No. One other time, I think I got to be first. And as much as Allie wants to downplay it, it matters, y'all. It matters. All right. Here we go. I got my butt kicked on the Hollywood Studios draft, but it was poor decisions on my part. I just think I drafted really badly. I don't think it was because of where I drafted. I think that was me manifesting. I said it was going to happen.
[00:14:14] I am going to be drafting in the second seat, and Stace will be at the turn there in the third seat. So that means everybody's going to get two picks before I get one at each turn. Oh! Oh! Okay. That's always the case. Okay. That means that we are going to start with you, Becky, in any order that you would like. And we're off to the races. Here we go. Resort day. Rest day.
[00:14:41] Everybody should be having a rest day in their vacation. And here are the options you have to pick from. Becky, you go first. Well, this one could fit in multiple things, but I'm going to put it at wild card because I think it is such an underrated thing to do. And the cost, while high, when you look at it, the cost per person is actually fairly low. So with my wild card, I am going to choose a fireworks cruise to go and watch Happily Ever After.
[00:15:11] Allie's face. It's big. That's a good one. It's a really good one. It's very good. That's big. Took something nice off of the list here. You know, you can put 10 people on those boats and you can go out and get basically a private view of Happily Ever After out in front of Magic Kingdom. No crowds. Bring snacks. Bring drinks. It's really nice. Very, very fun. I have done this before.
[00:15:37] I surprised a group of people when we did it and it was phenomenal. I will say we weren't very prepared. I would do it differently next time because I tried to surprise everyone. Everyone, nobody was prepared because they didn't know they were going. And so we all ended up really cold and we didn't have all the snacks. You know, it's just I could have done it better. I was trying to do something exciting and then it kind of backfired. But really, really special. You can also get a fireworks cruise to watch the Epcot show.
[00:16:04] Do you want this to be specifically Happily Ever After or do you want this? Like, how are we labeling this? I think Happily Ever After because of those two shows, I think seeing the castle in the distance, being sitting outside of Magic Kingdom. Ultimately, if you are watching Luminous over at Epcot, you're sitting in kind of that canal space. And so it's a different experience. I think both can be amazing. They're going to be I think they're the same price no matter which one you choose. A fireworks cruise is going to be the same cost.
[00:16:30] And if you can maximize the number of people on that boat, you're really talking about, I don't know, around $50 ish per person to do that, depending on, of course, the cost for when you're going. But I do think it is a very, very great splurge. Honestly, think about the cost of that per person compared to the cost of a private crew or a fireworks party in the park. And you're significantly cheaper than in that case.
[00:16:57] You're not getting the unlimited drinks and snacks like you're going to get at a party. You're not seeing the magical ending to Happily Ever After that you're in the park. But can't see the projections. Correct. But it is still you get the music. You get to be huddled with your family outside watching in this private space of a like a And you're doing it on a rest day where you're not using a ticket. I mean, you're taking it for that day. So, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Yeah, that's a good one. I do think that's definitely we're counting that as just fireworks cruise period.
[00:17:26] We're not just saying at Magic Kingdom. So she specifically wants to give a nod to Magic Kingdom and say like right. But like now now you can't go pick fireworks cruise from Epcot. Right. I think I could, but I'm not going to. Well, neither am I. But we should not. I agree with you. Fireworks cruise. Yes. Those are off the board. OK. I was going to take this in wild card, but now I think I'm going to rethink this. And I think I'm going to take this in resort activity.
[00:17:54] I think it's really fun to anticipate resort activities or to talk about because there are so many things going on at resorts that people just simply don't know are happening. And this might be the number one thing that people don't know what's happening. And I almost think, especially if you have a little like if rides aren't a primary focus and, you know, you just want to see animals.
[00:18:16] You could almost eliminate an entire park day by prioritizing doing the Starlight Safari at Animal Kingdom Lodge on your rest day. This is a safari at nighttime with night vision goggles to go out and take walking paths to see animals. And I have had a lot of clients and families and friends actually do this. And 10 out of 10 every single time. I think. So cool.
[00:18:42] I think anytime like Animal Kingdom closes early, you can't usually see animals at night because the park is closed. The exhibits close early. It's it's not a park that's open into the nighttime and into the dark a lot of the time throughout the year. And the Starlight Safari is happening at Animal Kingdom Lodge after a long break day where you didn't do much. You get to go out into the safari and do this. And I just think it's so unique and so cool.
[00:19:11] And I'm very happy to have it. It's definitely on my list. It's an interesting take for you to put it into a different category. I probably would have done something similar. I have not done this yet, but high, high on my list. There's just so many things to do at Disney World. Like even us who have been how many times? Countless numbers of times. We just still have not done everything. Right. Absolutely. I agree. So I'm happy to have that there. And Stacey, that's your pick. OK.
[00:19:42] You know, my toughest thing for this draft is not necessarily that we're going to run out of things. There's so many things. Like I seriously have a list of if you pick this, that's fine because I still have this, this and this. So that is not the struggle. The struggle is. And so you're going to make fun of me because I'm like, there's a strategy. What strategy do I do? What's going to get the votes? Yeah, I'm not going to judge you. I agree.
[00:20:07] It's like, do I go with this from a very real, quote unquote, run of the mill trip where like just anybody can do on your off day? Or is it one of those? Like I feel like some of the things y'all are picking are kind of special. Those are pretty attainable still. But then there's others that it's like, do I go this route or not with really special or do I do something pretty plain? So that's what I'm struggling with. You get two choices here. So, yeah, I know.
[00:20:36] It's just the angle that I'm trying to get to start with my whole. This is the foundation of my picks right here. Well, as long as you don't pick the thing that I'm going to choose, then it's a good choice. Then you don't you don't care, do you? OK, there's so many things, you know. All right. I'll go with my Disney Springs activity and pick the vintage amphicars that are at the boathouse. These are the cars that start on land.
[00:21:04] You arrive there at the boathouse and check in. You climb into the car. Don't really know for sure that you put on a seatbelt. Maybe not. Maybe not. All I can think about. All I can think about is alligators. I get so scared. Oh, they're. But you're in a car. You're safe. It's fine. So there are these really cool vintage 50s looking cars. I don't know what car model they kind of look like. Really cool. I'm not a car person enough, but they're super cool.
[00:21:30] And then those things drive straight into the water, straight down a boat ramp, right into the water. And you take a little tour around the water there. And I just think particularly like at a sunset cruise or something, you know, like right before or right after dinner there would be really fun. And even if, and I guess this is why I picked this first. Even if you don't go and pay to go ride it, it's kind of fun just to go watch it. Like that's a fun activity to just go over for free.
[00:21:58] That's a free activity to sit and watch for a few minutes. Yeah. So I'm going to pick Amphicars as my Disney Springs activity. And there's so many other things I could have picked that are fun that we're going to have to, we're going to have to mention some audible mentions for sure. But that's what I will go with. And then my second pick, do you have anything to say I want to say about that? No, it's just fun. I am envisioning being in an Amphicar with a seatbelt on and then the fear of going into water and the car sinking.
[00:22:23] And I have a seatbelt on holding me in and Allie's envisioning alligators climbing into the car. You know what y'all are doing? You're trying to tank the votes. You're tanking my vote. Sorry I mentioned seatbelt. But now you're like, nobody go do this. Don't vote for Stacey's. It's death trap. It's amazing. It's beautiful. I don't think anybody's ever died doing it. Nobody's died. Additionally, we actually do love watching these cars launch into the water. Us too. Yeah. They're super cute. I mean, it's fun.
[00:22:52] And it's really, I don't know, it just reminds me of like a 007 movie, you know, where you're watching this spy car that can drive on land and then just goes straight into the water. I don't know. It's really fun for me. I've always enjoyed doing that. Totally. Okay. And I've left so many amazing things at Disney Springs activity. But it's like, do I pick one of them for my wild card now? I just, I can predict what y'all are going to pick. And so I'm like, why waste that time? I'm so nervous. I'm not going to, I don't want to pick yours. If I wanted to pick yours, I could just go ahead and pick the restaurant right next to it.
[00:23:21] But I will leave that on the table for you. I will go resort restaurant next. And this is so tough too, because there's so many good ones. Gang. Don't do it, Stacey. Don't do it. I'm really struggling between two that I would like to pick. Don't spoil it. Just pick one. I kind of want one of you to have already picked it and make this easier on me. So I could just have to pick what's left. I have a star by the one that I wrote as like, I think I'm going to pick this one. And it's really not as competitive.
[00:23:51] I don't think it's going to be as competitive as y'all are thinking. Y'all are afraid I'm going to take one from you. I'm going to pick Narcooses. I'm going to pick Narcooses. Oh, great choice. At the Grand Floridian, it is a fantastic choice. And even with the other things that I think are competitive with you guys, that I would probably would be more dramatic for me to take. And y'all go, oh, I was going to take that. I really, this is one of my favorite dining experiences. It is so beautiful. On the water. We had the best time watching the fireworks.
[00:24:20] Schedule it during the fireworks. Go out onto that porch. Oh, the little porch area around the little gazebo. It's really a magical experience. The food is wonderful. And I just think this is one of the best choices you can make for an evening resort dining. We had a great time there. And yes, I, you know, you're going to get fireworks a lot. If you're going to the parks, you're going to see fireworks in the parks.
[00:24:47] If you still want to prioritize fireworks on your down day, Narcooses is a great option to do that. We had a great time there. The food is out of this world. This one is Disney's signature dining restaurants. And we've been to a few signature dinings together. Narcooses is still top of the list for me. Me too. I look forward to something maybe taking its place. But right now it's my favorite. I am going to pivot and I'm going to stay in resort dining. It's my turn to take a pick. Wait, it is. My bad. Yeah, you got two. You don't get three. She went first.
[00:25:15] No, I thought it was Becky's turn. I thought it was Becky's turn. I was like, I thought you were number one. I assumed. Muscle memory has Allie going first. It is. It is. I'm so sorry. I'm going to pivot because we've already shined a light on catching fireworks on your down day twice in this. And I actually think that there is a really good conversation around not prioritizing fireworks on your down day because you are going to get them in the parks, right? And so for me, rest days are about a couple of things. Number one, resting.
[00:25:43] Truly getting that energy back that you have given to the parks. And also having an experience that is still going to be something you talk about when you leave your vacation. That rest day doesn't have to be the forgettable day. And we are travel agents at the Getaway Club, and we had a group of 17 agent friends go down together recently. And they did a lot of things. They did all of the bucket list things. They did all the lounges. They did all the parks. They did all the views. They did all the extras.
[00:26:10] And the one thing that they still talk about that outshined the rest, that anytime you mention it, the girls that went are cracking up laughing. And they have nicknames for one another. And it was their greatest experience of the show. They cannot talk about it enough. If they're listening right now, they're like, yes, yes. They're like, can, can, can. The Hoopty Doo review at Sting. Disney's Fort Wilderness is peak rest day. It is dinner and a show. It has audience participation.
[00:26:40] Unlimited just like food and drinks. So good. Underrated for that alone. But then when you get the seat that allows, you know, your friends to come up on stage and you get to be part of the show and they're dancing all around you, you are going to create a memory at Hoopty Doo review on a down day that did not require a park ticket that will take your dining plan. So you can already prepay for it. And you are going to have a memory that you're going to take with you. And it's going to be one of the best parts of your trip. Hands down.
[00:27:08] I'm so, so mad that you took this. That was my next one I was going to. Allie. And I think you thought I was going somewhere else, but I was very passionate. I was very passionate about getting this in this category for rest day specifically. I just, with that lens, knowing that you can create such a juggernaut of a memory for your vacation, you will go to all of the parks and this will remain one of the best things you do on your trip. Correct.
[00:27:36] And I thought it was going to go under the radar. I thought for sure it was going to make it back to me. These were my number one and two was my firework cruise and Hoopty Doo review because it is such a hidden gem. You will die laughing. If you aren't the one who wants to be in the middle of it, you can put yourself up in the rafters and still just kind of be an observer in it, but still feel like you're involved in it. That strawberry shortcake at the end is, my mouth is watery thinking about it.
[00:28:05] And Sean and I both have dietary allergies and Hoopty Doo review handles allergies like a champ. So you chose a winner there. I am so sad I didn't get it. Yeah, this is so under the radar is a great way to put it. People just don't know. And it's honestly a little hard to get to just because I just, it's not really that hard to get to. You can easily get there. It's accessible. It's not that bad. But when I think of Fort Wilderness, I do think, all right, that takes another layer of just mental Olympics.
[00:28:34] And that's why I specifically in this draft wanted it in resort dining because this is, you've rested all day. Maybe you were at your pool. Maybe you were chilling, hanging out, whatever you did. And then you get to go to Hoopty Doo at night. So great. Yep. It is amazing. It is amazing. I'm curious if a minivan could take you straight there. I don't know if they can. But it is kind of one of those ones hard to get to.
[00:28:56] I almost think it would be more like interesting in getting there as coming by boat through Magic Kingdom as a potential way to get there. I don't know. It's really fun, but it is definitely hard to get to. So plan around it. Give yourself at least an hour to get to your Hoopty Doo. Don't let that scare you because by rule of thumb, I say give yourself an hour to get anywhere at Disney. That's true. So this isn't, I don't want that to scare anybody because honestly, that's the mentality you should always have at Disney World. Very fair. Very, very fair. Right. All right.
[00:29:26] It's Tamiya. I am going to take my pool and this will be the pool that I dream about going to over and over and over. There are a lot of valuable pools at Disney Resort or all across the Disney Resort. But Stormalong Bay at Beach and Yacht Club is by far my favorite one to be at. The sand bottom pool, the big shipwreck slide, the hot tubs, just the lazy river.
[00:29:56] Getting a lazy river. This is currently, currently the only one that gives you a lazy river. I just want to spend my entire rest day hanging out in that pool with ice cream nearby, the boardwalk across the water. It's pretty magical. The sand mound and the sand bottom are amazing. And the fact that it has a lazy river is next level. My only thing I would call attention to for a family with young kids is that this pool is very, very, very big.
[00:30:25] So if you're the parent that likes to park yourself in a chair and then just watch your kids while you're sitting there, you're not going to do that because you can't see them on the other side at all. So while they're in the sand mound, you can see them. And then the only other thing is the slide access is actually outside of the main pool area. So your kids have to leave the gate, cross the walk, enter a gate, and then go down the slide. So if you're also a parent that likes to wait at the bottom of the slide, that becomes tricky because you have to walk them. So keep those things in mind.
[00:30:55] But also keep in mind the sand bottom, the lazy river are just like so unbelievable. It is. And I almost dare say that there are better pools for people who have really young, like toddler age kids because there are some splash pads in particular spread across Walt Disney World. But everyone else, an adult trip, amazing. Adult trip is where this pool really would shine, in my opinion.
[00:31:22] Just because with little kids, you lose a little bit of that relaxation, just a little because of the things I mentioned. Yes. However, a couple things I will say. One, these lifeguards are phenomenal. I think that in order to be a lifeguard at the beach club, you have to have almost like all-star status as a lifeguard because they are the best of the best lifeguards.
[00:31:44] And we took our kids the first time to beach club and swam in this particular pool with them when Laker was seven. McKenna was, it was like seven, nine, twelve-ish age. And they could have spent 12 hours at that pool. And I didn't have to be with them. It was fantastic. So for that type of age range for kids, fantastic. Oh, for sure. And mine were, when we did it, we had a great time.
[00:32:14] And mine were maybe four and seven or five and eight, somewhere in that range. So on the young side where I had to follow them, that's why that kind of stands out to me. But on the day where they were on that sand mound, I mean, they stayed there in that sand mound for eight hours. You know, so it's a great pick. Even though we're talking about this for rest day, there actually is the issue that you can't just go to beach club pool for a rest day. Like if you're staying at Pop Century, you can't just say, oh, I'm going to use my rest day over at the beach club. You do have to stay there.
[00:32:44] So that is one thing that's a little different about this pick versus some of the others. Most of the other picks, you can be staying anywhere you want. But to get this pool, you'll need to be a guest of this resort. That's absolutely a great thing to call out. Are you saying that you can go to any pool staying anywhere? No, she's saying this category is particular. This category in particular, you cannot use a pool at a resort you're not staying at. She's saying, Stacey made a great point.
[00:33:10] Yes, on our list of picks here, everything we're picking outside of resort pool, you can do no matter where you're staying. Correct. Resort pool, you have to be a resort guest. So that's a great thing to call out. Very, very important. So also where you were going with that, beach club, yacht clubs, pool, and sometimes of year, the Grand Floridian pool are the only two that require you to have a wristband to prove that you're staying there. However, you cannot pool hop. And that's what you were getting at, right, is that you have to be staying for this category at that location. Good call out.
[00:33:38] That's going to bring you to your next category. Oh, oh, oh no. I was just stuck on my next one. What am I going to do? Ooh, which one are you guys going to choose? Okay. I think I'm going to go with my resort activity. Do I want my Disney Springs dining? God, it's hard. This is all very, very hard. It's all so good. It is all so good. Okay.
[00:34:07] I'm going to go with resort activity. And I hope you all don't, like, boycott me on this because this is thinking outside of the box on how I'm going to do this. For my resort activity, meaning what am I going to go do at a resort? I love Disney lounges. I love Disney snacking. I love all of those things. And so for my resort activity, I want to choose a monorail crawl.
[00:34:31] That is going from one resort to the next, getting something, experiencing something at each of these resorts. The reason I chose the monorail, because high on my list would also be a Skyliner crawl, but the monorail crawl in particular, there are things as moms we do. Have you ever had one of those moments where you're like, this is something I will never forget? Like, this is a day that will live forever in my memory. When Laker was three, McKenna was five, Macy was seven.
[00:35:00] We were going on our first Disney cruise, and we did not want to spend our time or our money on a Disney day going into the parks. So we chose to do a resort day, and we did a monorail crawl. We played on the beach at the Polynesian. We went and got snacks and went out on the dock at the Contemporary and took pictures with the Mickey, that metal Mickey statue thing that's out back. We got Dole Whip at the Polynesian.
[00:35:27] We went to the lobby of the Grand Floridian and overlooked the water to see Magic Kingdom. My kids playing on the beach of the Polynesian when we were not staying there is like burned in my head. It's going to make me emotional even thinking about it because it's like one of those things that you can't pause time. Oh my gosh, guys. You can't pause time, but you can capture that magic. And even though Laker does not remember sitting on that beach and playing with the little shovel,
[00:35:54] like my 16-year-old, I was just in the car with him yesterday, and this big, massive 6'1 man, is learning how to drive, and I get to sit next to him. And when I was looking at him yesterday and he was nervous about pushing the gas too hard, I was like, he's still that 3-year-old sitting on that beach at the Polynesian. Like, ah! Yeah. We do monorail crawls most of our trips, and it's really fun.
[00:36:22] Again, this is one of those things where you be mindful of the ages of your kids and how you're going to plan it, right? Are you doing a monorail crawl where you're hitting lounges and you're with adults and you're having cocktails? Are you taking your kiddos and making those memories on the lawns like Becky is talking about? And it's like an ice cream crawl, which is really fun. You know, you've got to really, I think it's important if you're going to do this, you map out what you're doing when you get everywhere. Otherwise, you're going to land, you're going to get off the monorail at Grand Floridian and you're just going to be like, now what? What do we do? What do we do here? What do we do here? Kind of give yourself a goal at every resort.
[00:36:52] And each time of year, you know, around Easter time, we've done this where we just went to see the Easter eggs at the Contemporary and the Grand Floridian both had them. And then, of course, we were probably staying at the Polynesian at the time. So really fun. Just my best advice, know what you're doing. What's the goal at each resort? So you don't just get there and then you're like, we're bored. We don't know what to do. Have your end game in mind. You know, very good pick. Wer riestert, der rostet. Zeit, Vorsorge neu zu denken.

Is that all you're going to say? Because it's my turn. It's your turn. Okay. I think I know where I want to go.
[00:38:12] But I'm kind of trying to plan out my next two before it gets back to Becky and predict what Stacy will take between the two. So it's really difficult. I think I am, though, going to go to Resort Pool. And that's just because I love Stormalong Bay. And I think in a lot of lenses it is the best Disney pool for a lot of reasons, which we talked about for Becky. But I actually think the best resort pool is the one I spend the most time at. And I have to pick the lava pool at Disney's Polynesian.
[00:38:42] And here is the reason why. Number one, it is very big. But it is not so big that you cannot see pretty much every point of it at any given time. So when you set up your chairs over near the bar area, you can see the entire thing. And there are life jackets and lifeguards and your kids get freedom. There's a zero entry right there. The pool games happen right there. It is just we're going to relax today. We're going to be right here. The kids are going to be out there. They're going to be here.
[00:39:11] They're going to be doing games. The slide entrance is viewable. I can see it. I can see the exit of the slide. But it's still really big. You know, it's still not boring. There's a waterfall. There is a massive splash pad. Maybe one of, if not the biggest, that Disney has to offer. And it's in a gated area. Two stories, slides, sprayers, buckets, cannons. The whole thing. Really, really fun. Servers that come around. Take your drink order. Take your food order. Bring it to your chair.
[00:39:38] And then if we're talking about fireworks on your down day, you can see Magic Kingdom fireworks. fireworks, the castle. You can see it from the pool. So I don't know. You're still immersed in Disney and you're getting that magical element. But you're also getting the relaxation. And I think, you know, at this point, I've kind of come to decide that I'm very, very, very much happiest at this pool over any other. It's on my list too. It is amazing. It is fantastic. It was on my list for all of the things that you said.
[00:40:08] My only reason I didn't put it as my number one is, and it could just be that the space and time I'm in. I don't have little kids anymore. And this pool has a lot of little kids. And if you want to get a seat, you need to get there early. Like it is not going to be something that there's lots of seats to pull together and be together as a family sitting on your thing. But the view across that water, the slide, just the picture of it, right? Just looking at that pool. You're like, I wish I was there. I wish I was there.
[00:40:38] It's very tropical, has the whole theming vibe. And it's amazing. I find it relaxing. Even there are a lot of children there. But because of the vibe, it's great. Yeah. I will give it to you that it has a lot of kiddos. That's kind of true for the Polynesian in general. But let's just remember this is Disney World. And if we're comparing this to like Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, you know, like it's not that high comparatively. But I've done so many pools at this point as adults with kids,
[00:41:07] without, you know, whatever. And Polynesian just checks every box to me. So I think I would have taken this no matter what. I think this is what I would have put in this spot. And I'm very happy with it. I mean, to be honest, Becky really is only mentioning that it's a lot of kids because she wants your vote. She wants to take the votes that would go towards yours. And I mean, I can see through all of these strategies. It could also be that I just am not in little kid space anymore. It's amazing. I'm just trying to keep it real here for our listeners.
[00:41:37] They need to. I'm going to take some pictures of her at the sand pit at the Stormalong Bay later. Be like, kids. Look at these kids. No, it's not only in the kids area. It's the sand's in the place where adults are too. Like running my feet through the sand. Oh. I'm just talking about the sand pit as it pertains and relates to children. Well, there will. Absolutely. I'm not going to go to the sand pit. I'm going to go to the section where I can run my toes through the sand in the pool. Pretty cool. Okay. Stace, that's to you for your next pick. Okay.
[00:42:05] And y'all have taken a couple of them that leaves me where I don't really have to rush to those. I just don't think my picks are competing with y'all's picks. Honestly. I just think we're going to all have different things anyway, because even if we go. Okay. If I, if I do a restaurant, there are two that I feel like you two could pick that I really, really love.
[00:42:29] But for the sake of diversity in options here, I feel like I'm going to throw out one that I also really enjoy that. And I just want to talk about it. And I'm going to pick for my Disney Springs restaurant, Raglan Road. It has entertainment. It's a different type of, when I say a dinner and a show, it's different than like Hoop-dee-doo. It's not a performance in that way. It's more like just going to hear a live band or a singer.
[00:42:56] And then there's also the Irish dancing on the tables. I love it. Now, it is not a relaxing dinner so much. It is, it is similar in that respect to Hoop-dee-doo that you're like kind of amped up while you're eating, but it is so much fun. And I really am just so impressed with those dancers. They're so good. The music is really fun. If you sit there long enough, you might can see in between changing acts and have, and a couple of acts there. And it's, they're just very talented. Of course, they're Disney performers.
[00:43:25] They're talented people. And it's just a nice, fun, pretty casual dining experience that's great entertainment. And it's right there at Disney Springs that you can get to on any day. My first time I went, it was soon after COVID and they had not brought their hours back. And so I was trying really hard to hit the time when the dancers were there. I did not want to go and not have dancers there. But now their hours are a lot bigger than they were at that time. But now you can go, if you're there between five and 10 during the week, you're going to see dancers.
[00:43:55] And if you're there on Saturdays and Sundays, they also add in a 12 to three o'clock shift of dancing and entertainment. So I just think that's super fun. Yeah, really fun. And yummy, yummy, good food. I think if you're like somebody that likes a brewery and you're like just hanging out and chilling and having live music, this is kind of the vibe for you. Yeah, it could have that vibe. The food is also delicious, but from all of this, all I'm hearing is that Stacey wants to go have dinner with table dancers. And that surprised me. So there you go.
[00:44:24] Good choice. Good choice. And you get another one here at the turn, Stace. I do. I need to make my notes here. OK, let's see here. Exciting. I could. I will go. It's like boring. You've already picked two of those. I could go with my lounge. And again, I don't think I'm going to be competing with y'all. No, I don't think I could totally like try to jab y'all and get the ones I know you're
[00:44:54] going to want. I could totally do that. But I'm going to go true to self, true to me. And I am going to pick Rick's Sports Bar at Coronado Springs. If you have a sport. This time of year, it's a great sporting event that you have to see. And you're at Disney World. Like it can be for a few of us very stressful. It's like I don't want to have to pay attention to my phone and watch the game that way.
[00:45:20] So you schedule your rest day around the big game and head over to or just stay at Coronado Springs. And it's right there. You can go back to your room as soon as you're, you know, either to lick your wounds of loss or celebrate if you win. It depends on if you're a Bengals fan or not. That was low. That was low. That was low. That was so low. I was mean. Yes.
[00:45:46] What was really cool is my husband and I were just there for our anniversary in June. But Troy University is our other school. Like Bama's our big, big team. But Troy University is where three of our children have gone to school and graduated from. My parents went there. I mean, we're big Troy University fans as well. And they were in the World Series. And I did not even have to ask to like turn and find it. And there they were. Troy University playing on the screen at Disney World.
[00:46:13] And that was super cool to be able to watch our team while we were there. So, but a big game. You've got to be somewhere. You want to be in an environment where there's other fans and cheering. And it's a lot of fun. So, I'll pick Rick's R-I-X Sports Bar at Coronado Springs. It's a great choice. They recently also added Churro Waffles, Mickey Churro Waffles to their menu. So, another reason. I could give you endless reasons to go to Coronado Springs.
[00:46:41] Rick's is just one of the many reasons you should be spending some time there. You know, one of their little snacky foods that they offer there is they have nachos. But they also have, oh, what are they called? They're waffle fry. Nachos. There's. Wachos? Wachos. That's right. I know there's a little play on the words. It's a really interesting menu. And it's cool to merge those things in your life. It's almost more of a restaurant than it is lounge. But I'm still going to give it to you there. It is. But it does. I mean, it's certainly.
[00:47:10] It's called Rick's Sports Bar. I mean, it's. Look, give this to me, guys. I didn't take your lounge. I did. Come on. I gave it to you. Okay. No, it's fine. I just wanted to call out that the menu is quite extensive. It almost is more of a restaurant. It is. You absolutely can get a full dinner there. Yeah. You can get a full reservation dining experience there. That is true. That is true. So, thank you for that. That it's not a straight up lounge that I picked. All right. That was.
[00:47:38] I really feel like I have a good sense of direction on where I want to go with each of these that are remaining. I am going to also go ahead and take my lounge. I don't think that my lounge should be at risk with Becky. But I feel really confident that I don't think she really is eyeing much of what I want. And so I tried to weigh which if she took which one would I be most disappointed. And it would be if she got to take Enchanted Bros at the Grand Floridian for her lounge.
[00:48:05] There is literally no place I'd rather be on all of Disney property than sitting in the Enchanted Rose And we talk about it. It gets drafted all the time on this show for different reasons in different categories. We talk about it as a place to be. I cannot talk about it enough. Y'all, there's a server there that has been there for a really long time that we've had multiple times. And I know I've said this before, but I'm going to say it again because he deserves a shout out. I more than once have ordered my kids food from Gasparella's, which is the quick service at Grand Floridian.
[00:48:35] And while we are having a French 75 or an espresso martini sitting in the gorgeous Beauty and the Beast library, this server that still works at Enchanted Bros goes and picks up our mobile order and brings it back to my room. Wow. Multiple. That's so nice. He has done it for us three times now. Wow. Oh my gosh. And he said it's a regular thing he does. You know, it's not just my family. And that is just the type of people that are serving you there. They're so pleasant.
[00:49:05] And the drinks, the cocktails are literally so good. And the environment is so stunning. And then you can just step out and see the fireworks. I mean, I cannot say enough good things. As I'm getting older, just the other lounges are kind of fading into the distance for me. And I just want to be at the Enchanted Rose all the time. Yeah. I have only good memories of great conversation and great drinks, whether it's with my kids or adults. Every time I go.
[00:49:34] I have vivid memories of us as a podcast team sitting out on that balcony and your little one playing with Sean's Pokemon Go phone for, we were there for, I think, hours. Hours. And my kids did not. Looking across the water. My kids did not bother us at all. No. It was amazing. I don't mean bother us. I don't mean bother us. But you know what I mean. Like, we were at a lounge for hours and my kids were fine. They weren't sad or bored or ready to go. Yeah. We had a great time. And we do every time we go. And I really wanted Enchanted Rose as my lounge.
[00:50:03] So I feel like I know what you were going to pick, Beck. And I don't think it was that. I don't know. You can tell me if I'm wrong. But I wanted to get it. I'm curious what you think I'm going to take. Enchanted Rose was on my list. And it was the first one I wrote down. But I don't know that it was the one I really wanted to take. But I'm curious what you think I'm going to take. Well, I'm not going to tell you. I know. I know. That's fine. That's fine. Okay. I think I'm going to go to Disney Springs Activity. It's my turn, right?
[00:50:30] Oh, what I was going to say about the Enchanted Rose, you're explaining these Disney cast members there. I feel like the lifeguards at Beach Club might be the equivalent to being a— Is Becky afraid that she's going to lose the pool category? No, I'm building up here. Why don't you go back to the Beach Club pool? Because the cast members are amazing. I have such great memories of them. But the cast members at Enchanted Rose. The cast member at the Polynesian pool saved my son. So— But he didn't actually need saving, but he jumped in.
[00:51:01] I've seen them jump in at multiple, multiple. Yeah, they're great everywhere. They really are great. But they are extra, extra high marks there. But at the Enchanted Rose, it feels similar. Like, you have to have earned your badge to be working at the Enchanted Rose. It is amazing. Okay. I'm going to go to Disney Springs activity. I love Disney Springs. I've told you all, I've had a real, like, turnaround on what I thought. Like, I thought Disney Springs was just a mall. And yes, there's great shopping there, but that's not why I love it.
[00:51:30] There is so many things to do there. And I'm not going to talk about them all because I know you all still have things to draft as well. But I'm going to talk about one of the new ones that just recently got added. And it's—the reason I'm pulling on it is because my very first experience at Disney World was before we had kids. Sean and I went to a thing called Disney Quest. It was an interactive place that had arcades and games. And it was just this space to go play as a family.
[00:51:59] Not like you're going to go to a quarter arcade kind of place. Just more, like, involved as a family, working towards a collective goal. And for that purpose, I'm going to draft Level 99 at Disney Springs, which is brand new. It has only been open for a couple of months. But we have done Level 99 at other places as well. This is not, like, a unique-to-Disney Springs thing. There are also other places just generally across the country that have these kinds of things.
[00:52:26] Think of it like an escape room meets an arcade meets just family bonding time. It's the kinds of things that you don't think you're going to get out of a Disney vacation. But if you do it right and you really lean in on everybody's involved, everybody's putting their phones away, everybody's going to work together, it can create the kind of memories that can go home with you. Because Sean and I still, to this day, 20-plus years later, still talk about some of the things that we did at Disney Quest
[00:52:51] because we put our phones down and we just leaned in on making the collective experience in that space. Yeah, it looks super fun. I haven't done it yet. I've really never done any, like, escape rooms or any of that. But it does look amazing. I think that's a great pick. I think we should do that as a team. It was on my list. My family does escape rooms regularly. My kids are little. And there's this place here near us called Escape Room Family. And they have young versions of escape rooms.
[00:53:19] And my wife and I are apparently terrible at escape rooms. I'm very ashamed to admit it because sometimes we can't get out of these kid escape rooms. But we're all involved and we all have a blast. And we've done them all at this point. But we have, for the record, escaped adult escape rooms before. But it is something that my family likes to do together. And this isn't just escape rooms. It's like a spin on escape rooms. And there's different types of, like, objective games and art hunts. And, like, you can collect glyphics, I think they call them.
[00:53:47] And, like, it's all very interactive and immersive. And it's just a really fun way to do something else that's a little different than Disney immersion. But really, really fun and family bonding. So I think it's an awesome addition to Disney Springs. I think it's a great, great pick. It was on my list. So good call. Okay. So then one more. I think, I don't think either of these are in danger of one of you all taking it. So I will go with lounge.
[00:54:16] Disney Springs restaurant. No, I'm going to go with lounge. Okay. Like I tell you, I am just falling in love with Disney Springs. And this lounge is kind of a lounge. It's more of a bar. But you can take your kids there. This is one of the most themed spaces you can go and chill and get a drink across all of Disney property. They change it per season. And if you are an Indiana Jones fan in particular, it is such a great nod.
[00:54:46] It is not an Indiana Jones bar, but they have a lot of ties to it and nods to the movie space of Indiana Jones. This is called Jock Lindsay's Hangar Bar. It is killing me that I have not been there since they have updated it for the Halloween overlay. They do an equal impressive overlay for the holiday season for Christmas with lights everywhere. It feels like so many hidden details.
[00:55:11] You could go and spend an hour in there just looking at all of the little trinkets they have around it. And not just the drinks. The drinks are delicious, but also they do rotational bites at this space as well. And we had some really, really good deviled eggs that had a festive twist on it. But they don't just bring it to you on a plate. Often it's elevated in its presentation. It's just a really, really good. You know, if there's anything I love, it's a good picture that I'm going to get with my drink or snack.
[00:55:41] And Jock Lindsay's brings it heavily in that space. Yeah. Hangar bar is fun. Great place to be. It's a little uncomfortable. When we went together, I thought those chairs were super uncomfortable. It's small. It's a tight type of place, you know. But it's a great place to hang, especially with an overlay. Especially with an overlay. It's small inside, but have you gone out to the decks? I have. I think it was cold. Wasn't it freezing when we were there? That time it was. But I've been before with my sister-in-law.
[00:56:10] But it, yeah, you know, it's not, and it's beautiful. You're on the water out there. You know, if the weather's nice, that can be really, really nice. But they do put a lot of people out there, too. You know, it's just a small area that's popular. And so they try to put in as many seating spots as possible. But really fun. So cute. And the Christmas lights particularly are, I don't know that I've ever seen it as Halloween. Well, I'm going this weekend. I'll send you pictures. Oh, good. Yeah, good. Good. That's a good choice. Surprising, honestly.
[00:56:41] Yeah, that's great. Okay. Does that bring it back to me? Yep. To you. All right. You guys have both taken Disney Springs activity. So that is not at risk for me. Okay. Becky has already taken wild cards. Stacey has not. Stacey has taken Disney Springs restaurant, but Becky has not. But I'll have another pick before it goes back to Becky. So I think I'm going to go to wild card. I'm going to go to wild card.
[00:57:11] And I have two things I want to put here. And I'm going to do this one because I think it's more accessible than the other one. And I think there is an element here that maybe people don't know about that I actually just really kind of learned about through a client, actually. So I'm going to pick the Grand Floridian Spa. Senses Spa at the Grand Floridian. And Stacey's not happy with this. The reason I'm picking this is... I'm just surprised. I really thought I could let that sit. Oh, okay.
[00:57:41] Keep going. I'm sorry. First of all, there's literally nothing I love more in life than a spa, than a massage in particular. I had a massage, deep tissue, whole ordeal at the Grand Floridian. And it was amazing. So good. And it was serene and it was quiet. And if you need that mom time and you can get away just for a little bit, then you can go to this spa and have yourself a treatment. My word. So good. Now, there is an age limit to have a massage there.
[00:58:11] Young kids can't. However, also at the spa, there are makeovers, kind of similar to that you would see at Bippity Boppity Boutique. You can sign up and book and reserve mini manicures. You can do hairstyles, princess styles. You can do makeup makeovers. And you can book all of this for your little one on your trip. Outside, maybe you missed that Bippity Boppity appointment. Maybe you want that on a down day. Maybe you don't want to be made over in the parks. Or maybe you want to get this done.
[00:58:39] And then, you know, hopefully it stays and you do it to the park the next day. Whatever it is, there are experiences for both adults and kiddos. But we say so much of these Disney trips are about our kids. And the spa can still be about your kids. But you can have an opportunity to have a real you moment. And I had the me moment at a Grand Floridian. And I would recommend it 100 times out of 100. I just feel relaxed even seeing those words. I love a massage more than anything else almost in life, too.
[00:59:09] And I don't get them enough. And I had this on my list as a resort activity. And I was like, it's safe. It's over here in the resort activities because they both have their resort activities. Nope. You swipe it for the wild card. That's okay. Yeah, I'm glad I took it. Glad I took it. Because if that would have been your next pick, I would have been really sad. I think it is an underrated thing. And I think on a down day when you've been walking and overwhelmed, yeah, hit the spa, dude. Yeah. Well, you know what?
[00:59:35] That makes it easy, though, because then it's like, now I can do this. And it just starts helping things fall into place. So if you're good with me moving on to my choice, I will go ahead with my wild card and say a sunset stroll on the boardwalk is just such a wonderful experience. You've got your magicians out there on the boardwalk. There's an ice cream shop right there. The walk and the stroll on a resort day. I know people think, why would I walk some more?
[01:00:04] Because sometimes your muscles need that. Sometimes you need to not get stiff of just sitting out. And it's nice to just, you know, maybe you're staying over at Pop Century and you wanted to skyline over and then take a little. The sunset there over that water, too, is so gorgeous. It is just a wonderful time to hit. You can eat there at Trattoria, have a nice dining experience. So the boardwalk at sunset is my pick for a wild card.
[01:00:32] This is a great pick. This is a great pick. Being on the boardwalk at night is one of my favorite Disney things that you can possibly do. The entertainment is free. It is included with your trip down to the boardwalk. And it's going to keep your kids entertained while you're enjoying watching them. And it's perfect. So fun. It's actually perfect. So fun. I know that, Allie, you've talked about your daughter did quite crazy amazing magic trick that she was get to be a part of. Yeah.
[01:01:01] My first experience on the boardwalk years and years ago, the magician came up to me and it was a, you know, those up close magicians. It felt more free roaming. You know, now they kind of have a, like a roped off spot almost for your magic tricks or your magic show. But this guy who was just roaming and he came up to me and it was one of those pick a card, any card, do your Sharpie, write your name on it kind of a thing. It still blows my mind. Like, I don't understand. It was one of those here, you, you have it. This has got your name in it.
[01:01:29] And it like put it, hold it in one hand and it's going to end up in your pocket kind of thing. I just don't understand. It freaked me out pretty bad. Yeah, we had that same magician come to us. It was great. It was amazing. And I just don't get it. I hope I, I think I probably still have that card sitting around somewhere in a box. Yep. Your next pick, Stacey. Okay. It's me. So let's see here. You know, it's just down to fun stuff here.
[01:01:56] I really, I really was hanging on to the Grand Floridian Spa for my resort activity. So I'm wondering if I just. You've got a good one. You've got a good, you know. Oh, I did. Wait, what? Picked one? You were saying my boardwalk was my resort activity? I did that as my wild card. I said that as my wild card. Oh, yeah. No, I do have it there. Okay. Which, you know, yes, it could have been there. I was like, wait, did I do that? No, I put it in wild card. It's there. It is tough.
[01:02:25] It's tough knowing where to put everything. Okay. So, all right. We're going to, I'm going to use this. This is a nice, low price, low cost activity. Really great for kids. Great for rainy days. Is your arts and crafts that are at your resorts. I particularly picked the mosaics that they have. You could do tie-dyes one. And there's several that kind of are dotted around different resorts.
[01:02:52] The mosaic is at Kidani Village, Riviera, and the Coronado Springs. And I just think it's a particularly fun one. I just want to say that I typed arts and crafts and then parentheses mosaics. And I spelled mosaics right the first try. That's a celebration. Stacy, I'm not going to tell you you spelled it wrong. No, I didn't. I spelled it right. There's no zig, there's no wiggle under it. It's spelled right. Very good. Very, very good.
[01:03:21] So anyway, this is a hard one. It is. Oh, it's a hard one, Allie. It's a hard one. I just had so many profanities in my head at you. I love that we're on camera now because it is so funny how many people have asked me, like, do y'all really like each other? Yeah. And how we just go at each other all the time. And I really hope that our love for each other comes through on the screen now that you can see us, that you're not just listening. You can also see us.
[01:03:50] Giving people a hard time is actually my love language. Like if we can't joke around like that. I'm like, if we can't joke around, I don't know. I know. I feel it's too much work for me if I can't. Like I want to be able to miss with you. Too much work to be kind all the time. Yeah. I want to be nice always. All the time. Yeah. So anyway, yes. So that's my second pick. Arts and crafts at your resorts. Fun for the kids. You know, it's low-cost souvenir. Great option. Wer riestert, der rostet.

I have to go Disney Springs Restaurant because neither Becky nor I have picked one yet. And I don't think we're going to take the same, are we? We might.
[01:04:49] No. Oh, no. Interesting. We might. If you don't pick yours, I will be shocked. Well, I've drafted that restaurant like four times in my life. That's true. And there is a piece of me that on a draft, I would like to take something different, you know? Okay. You don't draft the same player that's not scoring the touchdown for you every single time. Interesting. But I don't know because I actually have three that I'm between. I'm just like kind of vamping right now a little bit because I'm not sure which way to go.
[01:05:19] I have three on my list as well. Stacy's is not on my list. No, no. We have three on our list and I know you think I'm taking the one and that's probably third on your list. Well, but what do you mean? The one I think you're taking, I don't have on my list. Really? I shouldn't tell you that. I'm giving away my strategy. Yeah. I just, I know that you don't really care for that one. What are you going to take? T-Rex? Yes. How did you know? I thought that's what Stacy was going to take when she said, I'm trying to bring in the fun.
[01:05:49] I was like, if she takes T-Rex, I'm going to die. Okay. I might. Stacy just gave you a, aw, the head nod. This is very tough. I know what I'm not taking out of the restaurants on the board. I think. Do it. Do it. I'm entering the tick tock. We have not used our tick tock in a while. I just don't think I can draft away from my heart. But I want to.
[01:06:17] I think I'm just going to go ahead and take the boathouse. There you go. With an eye roll. I saw, I heard that eye roll, actually. I tried really hard to not take the boathouse right now. And then I started thinking to myself, would I book my family to eat not at the boathouse? And the answer is no, I wouldn't. And I, the boathouse is just number one. It might be number one in all of Disney until Cake Bake Shop came on board and now that. The boathouse food is superb. It is superior.
[01:06:46] It is beyond delicious. And the truffle fries, which I talk about a lot, are beyond delicious. I hate being this predictable. But this is where we like to eat. And I really wanted to pick away from it. And I really wanted to give Becky a hard time. But ultimately, this is where we would eat. So I have to pick it. I think you need to try something else next time and see if you fall in love with something else in addition to the boathouse. Because the boathouse is amazing food. It is beautiful. Overlooking the water.
[01:07:15] That razzmatazz something drink that they put a duck on the top. Duck duck razz. Duck duck razz. I can't have it because it has peach. But Sean absolutely loves it. And that drink hits hard. Oh, yeah. So, oh, it's a great choice. It's not my choice. You know what I realized about myself is I don't think I really love the... We went... We tried to go to the piano bar thing that you brought up at the boathouse last time. And it was under construction. The brunch. Whatever the brunch was called. We went to go try to do it.
[01:07:45] And we... They weren't doing it that day. I was so sad. But I realized in that moment that I don't... I think I'm more of a chillax-y person. Like, person who wants to chill when I... I don't want to be wearing a collared shirt. I want to be in my sweaty... Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. We don't get fancy to go to the boathouse. I'm not saying you do. But that's what I was surrounded by. And I was like, I feel really out of place in my moment.
[01:08:13] Ambience and environment matters a lot to me when I eat. And like, Zan and I have had several date nights out on that dock. Prices. And it just feels like private. It feels quiet and calm. It feels beautiful. It hits on every single cylinder. So I... And the bread is delicious. I think it's a great choice. It is a great choice. But it's not what I was going to choose. It's not on my list. That's not saying that it shouldn't be on your list because it is fantastic. I know.
[01:08:43] And that store or the store that's attached to it also has really great things that you can only get there. Okay. Is it my turn? I think I'm going to actually not go where you think I'm going to go because I'm doing... I have to finish out my draft now. So there are three restaurants that I love equally in all of these spaces. One of them is Sean's very favorite restaurant on all of Disney property. This is the Disney Springs restaurant I'm talking about. One of them is one that I recently fell in love with specifically for brunch.
[01:09:12] The views, the vibes, everything. The third one happens to be McKenna's favorite restaurant. And given the season that we're in, like my favorite season, right? We have summer, fall, winter, spring. My favorite season is football. And for that reason, I want to have a space on a rest day to go and watch some dang football. NFL, college, whatever it is, just let me watch good football. And I love the food here. I love the environment here. It's a louder space, but kind of...
[01:09:42] I'm okay with that when it's kind of a sports bar vibe. And that's City Works. We have probably eaten at City Works more than we've eaten at any restaurant at Disney Springs. But my kids ask to go back. They love the food. They love the big tables that you can sit across, like that they kind of put you. You can climb in from both directions, but it still gives you that booth vibe. TVs everywhere. Lots of different sports on. Delicious food. Delicious food. It's right next door to the new level 99.
[01:10:12] Great drinks. It's probably not one that people think of often, but we eat there a lot. And it's an easy one to get ADRs for. Yeah, that's kind of an underrated. Yeah, interesting. Interesting. And then you have one more selection and it's going to be your resort night. I feel I am in Ali's shoes in this moment. In how is my favorite restaurant still on the board and I don't take it? I want to take something else to like spice it up, but I don't know that I can because that would so not be true.
[01:10:41] That would not be true to me. As true as true can be, I will take. What holds my heart and it is everything that Stacey talked about on being on the boardwalk. You just have to go experience the boardwalk. Get yourself a reservation for some lasagna or chicken parm at Trattoria El Forno. It is just my heart song. I love it. And I'm so glad that I get it, even though everyone knew that was coming. Yeah, interesting.
[01:11:07] I am starting to make little notes of things that we didn't draft and the resort dining options are crazy. They're so good. There's so many good things. And none of us took a character meal as our resort dining option for a down day, which I just want to throw this out there. This is how interesting a draft can be because one of the things I do for all of my clients is recommend a character breakfast on your down day. You're right.
[01:11:37] Of course, that's a great idea. Of course, it's a great idea. But so are all of these options. You know, Trattoria to hit up the boardwalk at night. Hoopty Doo Review to make a magical memory beyond compare. And Narcoosi's to have like a fine dining fireworks crossover. So like we all picked great options and then we left great options on the board. You know, I think we did. I think we at least deep down, we knew that we've talked so much about the character dinings,
[01:12:05] you know, like and it was just there was something was like, I don't know, that internally we really wanted to go somewhere different. But yes, I hope we'll have our little honorable mention time. Honorable mention. Okay. Yep, for sure. So that leads me to close out my draft board. I have Disney Springs activity left and I there's a couple of things that haven't been drafted, but I think there's only one that's worth drafting. And that is going to be drawn to life. The Cirque du Soleil show. We recently just talked about this on another episode.
[01:12:32] And I will just echo the things that were said then. Cirque du Soleil meets Disney, which are two of the greatest imagination companies that there possibly could be. Yeah. When you cross Cirque with literally any company or art form that is going to level up in a way that's hard to describe. And I think this show goes a bit under the radar. This is not your circus tent pop-up Cirque that comes to the parking lot near you.
[01:12:58] This is like the Cirque du Soleil that you would see in Vegas, which if you've never done that, you're kind of missing out because I've seen a ton of those Cirque shows and they are breathtaking. And so is drawn to life. You know, Cirque and Disney working together is one of the greatest duets you can imagine. Definitely more family friendly than Cirque in Vegas, though. Just saying. No, no. What? Maybe Zumanity from back in the day. We must have saw two different Cirque shows in Vegas. Did you see Zumanity?
[01:13:27] At New York, New York? Yeah, I guess it probably was. It was at New York, New York. Well, you saw Zumanity. Yeah, Zumanity was, it's not there anymore, but that show was, that was not drawn to life. But no, but Cirque in Vegas is like, oh, which is so kid friendly. It's the water show. Love was the Beatles show that was amazing when it was there. Ka is like a warrior type. Yeah, no. Cirque in Vegas is very family friendly. Zumanity was not.
[01:13:57] But it's not there anymore. But drawn to life is, and it's beautiful, and it's animation. It is. Ugh, meeting art. It's art meets art. And if you have any respect for art, like if that's a thing you love and you like to sit for a show and your family is a show family, what a night for you to go eat at the Boathouse and then go see drawn to life. A Boathouse would pair beautifully with drawn to life. I love drawn to life. I do too. Fabulous investment. So good. So good. Really nice.
[01:14:27] And Stace, you have the last pick of our rest day draft. That's crazy. We're at the end here, which is my resort pool. And I'm totally cool with this. You both have awesome, excellent picks. But I'm going to go with Art of Animations, Nemo Pool. It is unbelievable. Great for kids.
[01:14:46] If you have children and you're being a little more budget conscious than maybe able to do a deluxe resort stay, you are going to have an incredible pool experience at Art of Animation. And honestly, not even just the Nemo Pool. But also if you ended up at the Cars section, awesome pool area there as well. So I am going to just, can I just pick? I don't have to pick a pool. Are we picking pools? This is a resort pool, right? I have to pick a pool.
[01:15:15] A pool. Yeah. Okay. Well, we'll go with the Nemo section pool. But it is going to be some of the most fun. And what I really love about just having a resort day that's a rest day that you're getting spend time at the pool because it's relaxing a bit, right, to be out in a pool. But it's also exhausting to be in the sun. Water play. There is nothing like water play to make you like starved and whoop you. It'll whoop you. So the kids are wiped out.
[01:15:45] They're going to go to bed. And you're just, you're right there at your, I just think about how close the pool was. If you're staying in that Nemo section and you have that, go to that Nemo Pool, like a meltdown starts, you're immediately, boom, we're in the room taking a nap. Like it is just such a quick, short area or a quick, convenient place to go and spend your pool day. So nice. That, I'm pleased with that. I'm pleased with that. Yeah. One of the biggest pools on property. Talk about little kids. Y'all wanted to say poly little kids. Lots of kids. Yes. There's a lot. I want to point.
[01:16:15] Yeah. I want to point out just for knowledge, no slide here and no hot tub here if those things matter to you. But the zero entry and the vast space and the fun little splash area, all really good. It's a great pool. I completely agree. I think that just walking the land, like the areas of the art of animation are fantastic. But I did want to point out as we are all travel agents sitting on this podcast.
[01:16:41] And if you're not working with a travel agent, please work with a travel agent so you find the right things in this space. Because I had a client who was, I currently am working with. She was sold. She was going to go stay at Art of Animation. And for $300 more, we got her in a deluxe resort. Not just a deluxe resort. Animal Kingdom Lodge. Nice. Talk to your travel agent so that you're getting everything out. And don't just overlook thinking you know everything.
[01:17:07] Like, we can bring extra things like how important getting to sit in the cone while you're waiting for your kid to be playing in the car's pool. Or there's just so much benefit to be booking with a travel agent to get all of this information. Today's draft categories, rest day at Disney. And remember, a lot of the things you're going to pick on your rest day, hopefully we opened your eyes to a lot of options. But you're going to narrow these down based on where you're staying. Resort pool. Becky drafted Stormalong Bay at Beach Club.
[01:17:36] I drafted the Lava Pool at the Polynesian. And Stacey took the Nemo Pool at Art of Animation. For resort activity, Becky chose the Monorail Crawl. I chose the Starlight Safari at Animal Kingdom Lodge. And Stacey chose Arts and Crafts, specifically mosaics at various resorts. For resort restaurant, Becky chose Trattoria Al Forno on the Boardwalk. I took Hoopty Doo Review at Disney's Fort Wilderness.
[01:18:05] And Stacey took Narcooses Out in the Water at the Grand Floridian. For Disney Springs restaurant, Becky took City Works. I have the Boathouse, once again in another draft. And Stacey has taken Raglan Road. For Disney Springs activity, Becky drafted the brand new Level 99. I have Drawn to Life, a Cirque du Soleil show. And Stacey has the Amphicars that launch out on the dock from the Boathouse. For Lounge, Becky has Hangar Bar.
[01:18:34] I have Enchanted Rose. And Stacey has Rick's Sports Bar. And finally, in Wildcard, Becky has the Fireworks Cruise at Happily Ever After. I have the Spa at the Grand Floridian. And Stacey has the Boardwalk at Sunset. Good drafting, you guys. I think we did great. I wrote down a couple honorable mentions. Tell me if I missed anything. Restaurants at Disney Springs that we did not draft that should be seriously considered. Homecoming and Wine Bar George.
[01:19:04] Yep. And I had Summer House on the Lake on my list, too. Yep. Resort dining that we did not mention. Topolino is number one. Can't believe it. I can't believe it. Yeah. Signature dining at night and the best down-baked character meal ever for breakfast. But that signature dining at night. Ugh. I just... That was what I was going to do. If I did that, I was going to pick the night version. Yeah. Yeah. Sanaa. Sanaa was on my list. Mm-hmm. Storybook dining at Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge. Ugh.
[01:19:34] Delicious. Probably the best food. Best character meal. Definitely best character meal overall. Definitely best character meal. Yeah. Cake Bake Shop over at the Boardwalk. We all love it. So those are some notable ones left off that are my favorites and they're not here. But it's interesting when we draft because you look from a different lens. Yeah. So specifically as I'm looking at resort dining only through the lens of down day, that's how I landed on Hoopty Do Review because you get this experience, right? Not that they're all not experienced. Right. Did I forget any restaurants? Those I think are the biggest call-outs.
[01:20:04] Those are the ones that I felt in that category. I think there's some other things in other categories that are worth call-outs. Yeah. I have the Caribbean Beach pool. Me too. As being left off. That's, I think, a top, top-tier pool. Right. I have horseback riding as an activity that people just don't know about. I had in resort activity making s'mores out on the savannah. Oh, that's good. Yep. Yep. You can do that at all resorts. They have fire where you can go and make s'mores.
[01:20:32] But specifically on the savannah is magical. Resort parties. You know, every night the resorts are hosting different parties. Movies Under the Star. They've done Dance Dance Revolution parties on the lawn at the Polynesian. All kinds of different just fun random things. Trader Sam's as a lounge that wasn't drafted. I can't believe it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Disney Springs activity. That balloon is so iconic to Disney. Like, you will see it. I've done it. I loved it. But I don't know that I would do it again.
[01:21:01] I think it's kind of one of those one and done kind of things. I really did enjoy it. But I don't know that I'd do it again. And then I had a couple in my wild card that I think would be worth. Go for it. Specifically the free mini golf that you get for staying in the Disney bubble. Going and experiencing the mini golf. There's two golf courses to choose between. I personally like the Winter Summerland one better than the Fantasia one. But both of them are really good experiences and affordable if you're already staying in the bubble.
[01:21:30] And then the last one that I considered drafting had the fireworks crews been gone is Sangria University. It's a fabulous way to spend some time, especially if you're on an adult trip at Coronado Springs. These are great ones. Yeah. There's so much to do to fill your day. When you're having a rest day with restful, really fun things. My other little honorable mentions that I knew would not necessarily draft. But we did not even mention shopping. Like I don't like shopping.
[01:21:58] But I like shopping at Disney Springs. I love going through the stores there. It's just it feels it's vacation shopping. It's so much more fun. The Lego shop is really fun. The toys that at Big World of Disney. There's fun clothes at the. Where do we like to go? All of us. The one that's down. Yes, the co-op. Yes, yes. And then there's the one with the teacup. I like the clothes there, too. That has a teacup sitting in the corner.
[01:22:24] But anyway, it's just it's all really fun and cute. They've got if you like Star Wars, there's a specialty store for that. There's a specialty store for soccer fans. Like it's just really fun, cool stuff. And then another thing out there that I was like, I'm not putting this on here because it's it's just kind of a for a couple of minutes you can go do this. But the salt and straw ice cream shop has the most unique seasonal flavors. And you can go through it'll be a line a lot of times out the door.
[01:22:51] But you can go through and get free samples and just try these outrageous things. One of my favorite things I went through, they had Thanksgiving dinner options for your ice cream. And so they had like a cranberry sauce. And my favorite one that had those Parker House rolls. They had an ice cream that tasted like Parker House rolls. Oh, my goodness. I'm telling you, I know it's crazy. It was so good. It was so good. Butter flavored ice cream is what's running in my head right now.
[01:23:21] Yeah, but it was like, you know, like a butter pecan has a nice little butter. You put butter in all of your sweets. Like it's it was good. I'm telling you, it was good. So I just wanted to throw it out there is something that's available. Great. Yeah, I think we did it. I think we nailed it. So many amazing things. We couldn't draft them all. But I'm glad we gave some honorable mentions. And I'm excited to put this to the voters. Beck, why is our lightning lane blacked out on here? Is there something specific I'm supposed to be doing?
[01:23:47] No, I just didn't want it to guide anyone's thoughts on ideas that could come up in the draft was my thought. Well, then here comes a lightning lane rest day motivated. Are you guys ready? Let's go Stacey then Becky since Stacey has no idea what's coming. Yeah. OK, stay on property all day or go off site for a change of scenery when you have a down day. I think I would like to stay on property all day because you're going all the other days. Stay in the bubble. It's stay in the bubble.
[01:24:16] So my friend, one of my best friends in the world, made me leave and go to an outlet because he wanted to go to this designer outlet store that was nearby. It started raining while we were there. And I was in this random mall outlet food court. And I looked at him and I was like, do not ever take me out of the bubble again once I've entered it. I am so mad at you. I am supposed to be a dizzy world right now and look around you. I was like, I'm so mad at you. Do not ever take me out of the bubble again. It's definitely stay in the bubble. I did not understand the question at the beginning.
[01:24:45] And yet I still definitely keep my answer. I did not understand. You were asking stay in the Disney bubble on an off day or go out of the bubble. No way. I'm not doing that. Yeah. Would you rather have a pool relaxation day or go to the spa at the Grim Floridian? Good thing you had this blacked out because I drafted that. I mean, I want to massage every day. I mean, but it is hard. I feel like doing that, you are leaving your family, you know.
[01:25:12] But like, for example, when I'm there with my big family group of 15 people, I feel bad leaving because they're going to have fun while I'm out doing this relaxation thing. So, yeah. What was my other choice? A pool day or go to a spa day. I am a person who wants to make my money go as far as I can. And I feel so would feel so bad going to a spa day knowing that I'm paying to take advantage of the pool day. I'm just that person. I'm sorry if that doesn't get right. Pool day for me, even though I love a spa. I love it.
[01:25:42] Can I say both? Like, can I say both? Pool day. Yeah. I'm like pool day at the poly, but I'm going to slip away and go get a massage and I'll be back. Yeah. Like, family's having a pool day while you're going to the spa. Yeah. It's me time. Actually, that sounds great. I would have such FOMO, though. But when my kids were there, but like if it's just me and Donnie, I'm like, hey, yeah, you take a nap. I can do that for sure. The kids are there. I feel really bad. Yeah. The kids are there. I feel really bad leaving. I have a hard time leaving. When I did the spa. Correct. It was on a trip with actually y'all.
[01:26:10] Like we were together and I dipped out and went to the spa and then came back. Yeah. That was really, really good. In that scenario, yes. Yeah. That was great. Okay. Disney Springs shopping and snacking or resort hopping to explore other resorts. Disney Springs. I want both of these. One A and one B. Don't make me choose. But Disney Springs, like I've said, it just is holding my heart right now. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Character dining or quiet table service meal with no characters. We see what we've picked, right?
[01:26:39] We all picked no characters. I kind of like the signature dining situation. That's just where I guess I am in life right now. Just getting old and enjoy it. But if I took my kids, definitely going. And when I say my kids, I now mean my grandbabies. But yeah. Depends on the audience. Yeah. I just really love that sprinkle of the Disney magic into your down day. You know, you still get to meet characters on a down day. You feel like you're checking something off. Valuable. Yeah. And if this is like a first trip.
[01:27:10] Absolutely. For sure. A character dining. Yeah. I'm almost going to say character dining here because we didn't draft it. And so I'm like, I want to make sure that gets a nod. Yeah. That's fair. Okay. Oh, gosh. Run. Do laundry, run errands and repack or ignore the chores and relax. Ignore. God. Yeah. I want to ignore until the very last moment. Don't put me back in the regular world. My husband, he just is constantly doing stuff. He just can't sit still very often. I mean, he does.
[01:27:39] He has done laundry for sure on a trip because it's just like, why not? I got stuff to do. Take home clean clothes. And I'm like, all right. Have at it. Me? No. No. Unless it was a necessity that I needed new clothes, clean clothes. No, ma'am. I am not doing anything work related. Ellie, do you use your packing bags in reverse? Like, do you bring your stuff open that way? Not organized. So we'll just start shoving things back in bags.
[01:28:07] But when we stay in a villa, I will say, I don't prioritize it. But when we stay in a villa, I do use our washer and dryer. I will do some loads of laundry if we're just chilling in the room. Or if we're having a pool day, I can run up and change it. And it's no big deal. But it does take something off my list at home. So I don't prioritize it. I don't use like the coin laundry at the resorts. But if I'm in a villa and it's there, I will do it for sure. Right. Because why not? You know, easy, whatever. Especially swimming suits. If you have the washer and dryer. All right.
[01:28:35] What about movie under the stars or early bedtime to get ready for the park the next day? Man. Again, dependent on who's with me. Right? It's such a great thing for the kids to take out there and do that. But if it's just me and Donnie, bed early. Easy. I miss the nostalgia of going to a drive-in movie. And I feel like the movie under the stars gives me a bit of this. So I really love that they do this on a regular basis at all Disney resorts. Do y'all not have drive-in movies?
[01:29:04] We almost went to one last weekend. We almost went to one last weekend. We still have it. No, that's awesome. No, I don't even know where the closest one is to me right now in the state. Yeah, no, we literally almost went to one last week. All right. That was really fun. We'll see how this shakes out, you guys. But now I want to go have a rest day. You know, I was just saying this morning to a friend who doesn't go to Disney a lot. I was telling her ahead of recording. And I was like, honestly, my family trips anymore are just down days. We go to just hang out at the resorts and do the things around property. And we do one park day. You know what?
[01:29:33] Mostly we build our trips around the things we talked about today and the multiple restaurants we talked about today. And just being there is the greatest feeling ever in the world. So go get yourself a down day. Don't skip it. It's important to have the knowledge on how to do it right. And today's magic word for all you M&Ms will be rest. You can get your rest while having great activities. And your trip is going to be better for it. That's going to do it for us here on another episode of The Moms Behind the Magic. We are sending you so much fun, love and joy. And until next time, we'll see you real soon. Oh, goodness.
[01:30:02] You guys, you guys, can we pause for just one second? I hate to do this, but I've been holding it and I really have to use the bathroom. If I can put this on the bloopers at the end, absolutely. I don't care. I've been holding it and I'm like, I'm moving too much. She's dancing. I have to. Yes, yes. Well, we'll do that. But this is going at the end. Yes. I kicked my dog out of my room for recording. Like Stark's normally sitting here on the bed with me. Last time we were recording, he was snoring in the background. Could you hear him snoring? That's funny.
[01:30:32] I don't remember noticing that it was a dog. Maybe you haven't gotten to that one yet. Yeah. Was it recent? I don't know. We're so we're recording so far ahead at this point. I don't remember how far. But it wasn't fairly recently that I was like that's turning around and hitting him with a pillow. Like Stark, stop snoring in the background. Oh my goodness. That's funny. That's hilarious. We could totally be setting Allie up with something here. When she's away, what could we do? We could pretend like we can't hear her. Just be frozen. We could be frozen. Should we do that?
[01:31:00] Pretend like we're frozen and that she comes back to a frozen screen? She can hear us. She can't. It's in the headphones and she took the headphones off. Oh, okay. She looks like she's back in her room. Oh, we're stopping. So much better. Okay. Go ahead, Stace. I was like... I tried to hold it in.
[01:31:32] I literally started checking all my cords. You guys are mean. Oh my gosh. That should not be that funny. That was a good one. I didn't think it was going to work that well. You guys actually got me. And I heard you talking as I was walking back up and then I was like, oh no. I thought I sat down and froze something. Okay. Woo. Awesome. We're back.
[01:32:00] Oh, those are so hard to fit in now because it's a video. Okay, hold on. Ali, you didn't freeze. I know. I know. That was amazing. It's fantastic. I thought you had already tried all of these things. So I'm so happy. Wer riestert, der rostet. Zeit, Vorsorge neu zu denken.
